Festival in Black, held at Mac Arthur Park downtown Los Angeles in 79'.  The Pie Lady was a cultural icon at the Festival evoking Market Women who occupies public spaces as an exotic laborer carrying her seasonal produce on her head, selling her wares.  The image she present, the primordial entrepreneur, reminded the Artist of the commonality of African cultural customs presented everywhere at the Crossroads of the Caribbean.
